In Chosen Personality Not Available, Chris Leidig thrives on his ability to find the right mixture of references to Academy Award-nominated actress, zevia cans, and emotionally distraught Lyft drivers to explore the role of grief in everyday life. In his work, you will also find references to dipsomaniacs, sunbutter smoothies, and a last-minute reference to Vanderpump Rules.
Chris Leidig was born somewhere inside the Brattle Bookstore in Boston, Massachusetts. However, his mother vehemently disagrees. He lives in a home that is not inhabited by any vengeful ghosts or maniacal cats (although time may tell on the latter). His life’s motto is “Don’t do today what you never want to do.” He yearns to include the word ennui in an author bio.
On my metaphorical nightstand, I have Boulder by Eva Baltasar, The Wanderer by Frances Burney, and a bottle of cherry-flavored hint water.
My secret talent is making up lists of books to read and movies to watch. MY secret talent (or not so secret talent now) is that I spend more time making up the list than reading or watching anything.
I would recommend a lot of sleep and a lot of vitamin-enhanced water. I would also recommend that you not take workshop comments personally. Some people will just not understand your work. In those cases, you can give them permission to not like your work; you can then just ignore their advice.
