Nicole Tsakoumagos

Fiction | Cleveland State University | Class of 2021

Nicole's novel, which she started back in the pre-pandemic age, is set in a post-pandemic near-future where the world as we know it has been transformed into a Big Pharma reality where the have-nots get to go to fight club when they can't afford the cure. Imagine the Chuck Pahlauniak novel, only instead of grimy basements we get sterilized hospital corridors and pristine lab equipment. —Imad Rahman
