“In Sarah Davis’s thesis, a novel about ordinary people who come into possession of slightly strange abilities and the world that unfolds because of it, readers will be charmed, tricked, and gently returned to their own ordinary lives with their own strangenesses feeling seen and made whole because of it.”
Sarah Davis is a writer and costume maker from Youngstown, Ohio. She is a lover of storytelling in all its forms and hopes to focus on sharing stories through different mediums in the future. As a costume maker, she enjoys finding unconventional ways to create things and generally enjoys experimenting with costumes and crafts in her free time as another means of sharing her creativity.
One time Chris Crutcher was telling me about his young friend, my age, because he thought we’d be cute together. And while it was an awkward thing to have happen, he showed me a picture, and his friend was super cute. So like, right on, I guess. I also have no way to prove that this happened, but it did. Ask Laurie Halse Anderson. She was there, however, she almost certainly wouldn’t know who I am if you did ask.
I am usually not a fan of most frosting, so I take off the wrapper, remove most of the frosting with it (but leave a little), and then eat it from the top down.
I am pretty adequate at recycling clothes to make costumes. I like to think I’m pretty decent at crafting in general!
